Bees + Berry was originally founded by Carlee Farmer as a haircare company. In 2022 life took some unexpected turns and made Carlee, with her sister Chloe’s help, realize how imperative Self-Care was. Life taught them both the real meaning of “put your mask on first”. It was not always easy, but Carlee learned that caring for yourself doesn’t always have to be something grand. She realized how important it is to take care of yourself first, especially as a black woman.

“Throughout history we have been taught to take care of everyone before ourselves, which often leads to burnout and nothing left for you. This mentality is detrimental to society so Chloe and I have made it our mission to change this subpar standard not only for ourselves but for every other woman who realizes better is not only attainable but a necessity. We intend to make a positive change in the world by encouraging others in the practice of Self Care.”
